Set on the northern coast of Jamaica, Montego Bay is the country’s most popular tourist city. It’s home to an abundance of hotels, resorts, restaurants, bars, excursions, and shopping areas. So a stay here won’t leave you bored for a second. You’ll find miles of stunning sandy beaches on the city’s coast, too.

It’s also home to the largest airport on the island; Sangster International. Most visitors fly into this airport, making Montego Bay an accessible, hassle-free, and fun-filled place to stay.

If you’re seeking palm-filled beaches, striking rocky cliffs, and picturesque scenes, Negril is for you. It’s a hotspot for scenic surroundings, and a winning destination for beach bums with its laid-back vibe.

First-time visitors will feel comfortable here, as will adventurous travellers, activity-seekers, and just about anyone else.

Negril boasts some extraordinary oceanside hotels and resorts, some carved into coral cliffs and others spread out on sandy beaches.

Seven Mile Beach is the town’s sparkling main beach, laden with a host of bars and restaurants overlooking the sea. Most resorts are just a short walk along the beach from town.

If you were to drive between Negril and Montego Bay, you’d find Grand Palladium Jamaica Resort and Spa at around the halfway mark. This stunning hotel is nestled on the beachfront of a bay in the small town of Lucea.

It’s an all-inclusive, family-friendly, five-star facility that boasts spectacular views of the Caribbean Sea. 

Enjoy a refreshing dip? You won’t be short of options. Grand Palladium is home to five swimming pools.

And there’s even a swim-up bar so you can wet your whistle from the water. Alternatively, head to the Sea for some kayaking or snorkelling – included in the price.

The Grand Bahia Principe is an enormous five-star resort perched peacefully on Northern shores of the island, in a town called Runaway Bay.

Just half an hour west of Ocho Rios. It’s peppered with palms, thatched umbrellas, and sun loungers, perfect for relaxing and soaking up the atmosphere.

But it’s also a wonderland for family fun and activities. The resort offers everything from kayaking and snorkelling to volleyball and tennis. As well as an awesome kids club and waterpark.

The entire hotel is practically surrounded by a swimming pool;  a winding waterway where you can drift under footbridges, float up to a pool bar and soak up the sweet sunshine. Then retreat to the comfort of your spacious room or private balcony – many of which boast sea views!

Hedonism II in Negril offers something a little different to your typical beachside hotel. It’s an adult-only resort that encourages guests to let their hair down and explore their wild sides. Often in nothing but their birthday suits. 

It’s divided into nude and ‘clothing optional’ sections, so you can explore as far as you feel comfortable.

The entire place is effectively an adult playground. A safe space for guests to get a little raunchy and wild without feeling any shame or embarrassment. So it’s a perfect spot to head to if you’re looking to spice things up with your partner.

With the sea on one side and dense exotic greenery on the other, this hotel immerses you in a gorgeous ‘nature sandwich’. There are only 12 cabins available here, each one stunning in its own right and perched by the cliffside. The cabins are made of light woods and other organic materials, and there are splashes of bright colour throughout.

The Cliff Hotel

The name of The Cliff Hotel hints at its stunning setting. The property is perched on the rocky cliffs just south of Negril, with sweeping sea views and perfectly landscaped gardens. Jamaican vibes are abundant, with broad strokes of chic design and comfy furnishings.
